They call this “crepe nippon” in Laos.  Literally japanese crepe….I don’t know why.
I do like all the colors and cute cartoons they put the crepes in though.  Last time I got one had Chun Li and Ryu from Street Fighter on it.  But it was disgustingly sweet I couldn’t even eat more than half before throwing it away before taking a picture.

Day 12: Laos

Had shabu buffet at Saibaidee Shabu Shabu.  It was delicious.  It was the first time eating at a conveyor shabu thing.

Also saw a Naruto sticker on a car. And bought 2 kilos of fried banana chips…no clue how I’m taking that huge bag with me to the US.  Crazy mother demands.

Day 5: Laos

dollyinbangkok:

Day 5 in Laos…running out of internet.

Today I woke up and played on my computer most of the day.
At 6pm, I went to the market with my Aa and cousin Noud.  It smelt like fish.

At 7ish, I went to go eat dinner with my uncle and his kids.  Then we went to the night market and took pictures with the statue of the first king of Laos. There were also exercise machines!!

Day 4: Laos

Day 1: I arrived in Vientiane to be quickly driven to Vang Vieng after pho for lunch.  It was a 3-hr drive.  Found a nice guesthouse that was right by the river for only 400baht a night.  Went to the waterfall.  Dinner was Israeli steak.

Day 2:Breakfast was kao piek. Went kayaking for 8km…arms were sore.  Lunch was Lao food. Drove back to Vientiane, went to go eat bbq (shabu).  Dropped off at grandma’s house.

Day 3:Day of rest. Got internet. Pretty much was told by every relatives that saw me that I got fatter.

Day 4:Still exhausted. Not much to do. Slept. Went to sauna (hom ya) at Bao Thane’s around 5pm. Picked up by Aa Veng to go eat nam neung (vietnamese food).

Countdown before I go back to the States:11 days

Hell week part 2

I don’t understand why Thailand keeps wanting my groups to write 15 page papers.

One class even states that the paper is 15 pages MIN.

On another note, yesterday I saw a bunch of kids swimming naked in the Chao Praya River.
